New Network for Global Visionaries

Several years back, Global Visionaries came to NPower Seattle, asking for some minor assistance with installing software and printers. During the preliminary scoping of the small project, NPower staff learned that the problem was not exactly a small issue. Global Visionaries had been relying heavily on a peer to peer network that was not meeting its needs.

After a short while, and relying on NPower's expertise, Global Visionaries agreed to utilize NPower to install an entirely new network, based on Microsoft Small Business server. The changeover was an enormous success.

What had been a small network for a few now was available not only for the entire staff, but also for the 35 youth board members. The network was soon utilized internationally, and allowed others in Central America to take advantage. At times during the year, now more than 80 volunteers can access the data during the important auction event preparation period. Their board president stated "The new Small Business Server is wonderful, but we would never have been able to accomplish so much with it if it weren't for NPower's expertise".
