Arts & Science Council Annual Campaign
NPower Charlotte Region expanded the ASC's eCampaign system in 2007 to integrate their entire volunteer solicitor tracking process with the eCampaign system.
Challenge
The ASC utilizes a large volunteer base to solicit funds from corporations. Previously, the ASC used a standalone Solicitation Tracking system during the campaign, which required considerable manual effort to provide campaign status across both the corporate solicitations and the eCampaign systems.
Solution
NPower Charlotte Region built a new online solicitation application for ASC. The newly integrated solicitation system not only provided automated reports in real-time, but also allowed the ASC to manage 116 solicitors who were able to solicit $2.9 million in corporate gifts.
Impact
The integration was a huge success and the system continued to scale to meet increasing demands. The number of companies using the eCampaign system increased 65% over the number using the system in 2007 and overall donations increased 40% resulting in a $1.4 million success story. The eCampaign system is continuing to play a larger role in the ASC's overall campaign.
About the Nonprofit
The Arts & Science Council (ASC) is a non-profit organization that serves and supports Charlotte-Mecklenburg's cultural community through grant-making, planning, programs and services to ensure a vibrant community enriched with arts, science and history.
Organized in 1958, ASC combines resources from the Annual Fund Drive, allocations from local, state and federal governments, and its endowment to support cultural organizations, educational programs and individual artists throughout the region.
ASC also provides cultural support through the Cultural Project Grant program, helping to fund neighborhood and community-based projects involving arts, science, history or heritage.
Over the past five years, ASC has experienced tremendous growth. Thanks to Charlotte's public private partnerships and the community's generous support of arts, science and history, Charlotte is now a cultural model for cities across the country.
